No refined added sweeteners for 8 weeks. Sugar cane, maple syrup, honey, agave, coconut sugar, etc

Stevia is okay. So are “diet” sugar substitutes like monk fruit and erythritol.

Yes. It is recommended that you limit alcoholic beverages to 2 per week.

Yes. Check the ingredients label and buy bread without added sugar.

Failing is inevitable. Folks in this group are encouraged to come back and try again every time, practicing self-compassion. We don’t have to abandon our goals when we slip up.
About the facilitator
Alison Cebulla, MPH, has been facilitating personal growth and support groups for over 15 years. She is a Certified Health Coach and holds a Master’s in Public Health from Boston University. She has been working as a trauma and adverse childhood experiences science educator since 2019 at PACEs Connection, University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, and Tend Collective.
She has taught workshops in cities around the world (Paris, Barcelona, NYC, SF, and more) to help people feel more connected to others and to cultivate genuine and authentic kindness and gratitude rooted in social and emotional resilience.
Alison quit sugar on January 1st, 2016 and it changed her life! She started teaching a 10-week version of this program on January 1st, 2017 called “Give Up Sugar For Good.” She facilitated that popular program 2-3x a year from 2017-2019.
Alison beat methamphetamine addiction in 2005 at the age of 20, setting her on a lifelong path to learn better life coping tools and to find meaning and purpose. She’s passionate about helping people heal their childhood wounds, learn to be emotionally robust humans, and sharing all the tips and tools she’s learned on her healing journey, especially overcoming Major Depressive Disorder.
